Discovering Crozon – Finistère's land end
Surrounded by the sea on 3 sides (by Brest harbour on the north coast, the Iroise sea on the west and Douarnenez bay on the south), Crozon peninsula boasts several remarkable natural sites.
The landscapes sculpted by the ocean and the wind lead the way to a territory rich in geological, natural and cultural heritage.
What’s more, all of the peninsula’s coastlines are within the Iroise Natural Marine Park. It covers a surface area of 3 500 km², which is equivalent to half of the Finistère region.
The creation of the Iroise Natural Marine Park marks the beginning of new means of managing the environment : through the knowledge and protection of the marine environment. Its creation is an important step towards the protection of France’s natural marine heritage.
The Crozon peninsula is comprised of 7 towns situated on the coast or in the countryside.
